Are you looking for a spiritual home, rooted in the teachings of Jesus, with a strong response to the needs of local community and the wider world? At St. Margaret’s, each of us has been looking for that too, and found it by giving our love to one another and our community for over 100 years.

        “Ask, and it will be given you; search, and you shall find;                   knock, and the door will be opened for you.” – Matthew 7:7

If you’re asking, we can tell: we’re a healthy mix of experiences, gifts, beliefs and humor. Tap any one of St. Margaret’s parishioners, and you may get a riveting story of who we are or have been, what we’ve done, and what gets us up in the morning. Many of us have been Episcopalians all our lives; many come from other faith traditions. During any coffee hour (pre-COVID, in our parish hall, and currently held online after our Zoom Sunday service) you’ll get a filling of delicious repast, robust conversation, tender concern and some good laughs.

If you’re seeking, we can point the way: look for our red doors in that handsome medieval English parish church, tucked deep into a Belfast neighborhood. (You’d almost miss it, if you weren’t looking, but you are looking…right?) Or, you can sign up for our newsletter and get the Zoom link for our church service or find us on YouTube for the livestream. In either case, our building and/or YouTube channel is easily spotted but that’s not where we “are” – we are out there among each other, caring for each other; participating in our community (from local to international) in a myriad of ways; writing letters, cards, policy and prayers to help bring God’s kingdom here on earth.

And if you knock – we will answer, whether it’s a friendly email or phone call, or that familiar “ding dong” of someone entering a Zoom link, or opening the door to community and worship. Most important of all, when you knock, we want you to find the hope, courage and comfort of our Good Shepherd, Jesus. We’d love for you to be with us as we continue to seek him and follow his path in the 21stcentury, and beyond!
