Fifth Sunday Offering – Helping Our Neighbors Stay Warm

Sunday March 29 th is a Fifth Sunday, when our parish sets aside the loose offering for a special
outreach need. This month the collection will go to the Rector’s Discretionary Fund, which
allows us to respond quickly and quietly when people in our community need help.
This winter has been especially cold across Maine, and many of our neighbors—particularly
elderly residents and those who are underemployed—are struggling to keep up with rising utility
bills. When someone is deciding between paying for heat or buying groceries, the Rector’s
Discretionary Fund allows our parish to step in with compassion and practical support.
Your gift on Sunday the 29 th can help keep a home warm and remind someone that they are not
alone.
Thank you for your generosity.
