Time for Stories of our Immigrant Forbears

You made a point to honor your immigrant forebears when you inscribed their names on our Honor Roll of Courage in the parish house.  Now it’s time to go a step further and share more of their remarkable story — and your pride and gratitude — with the rest of us at COFFEE HOUR on Aug. 17.  Every name on our honor roll is someone who risked everything in order to pursue their hope for a better, freer life.  What do you know about their experience?  Do you have a treasured photo or letter that tells their story?  Or are you simply open to learning a bit more about what makes people in the pews at St. Margaret’s tick?  There are stories to tell and to hear.  Someone living in your DNA once made a perilous leap so you could relax in comfort and safety over a cup of coffee and remember them.  The Refugee and Immigration committee invites you — Sunday, Aug. 17.
