Pies for Thanksgiving

So who made all 32 pies this past Tuesday?! You have these individuals to thank for the delicious pumpkin and/or apple pie you had at Thanksgiving: Chris Urick (on her birthday!), Jackie Curtis, Cindy Frost, Suzanne Pelletier, Cynthia Zajac, Chris Quigley, Kathy Sticht, and Sue Belair. Thank you Women of St. Margaret’s Committee for this labor of love and gustatory delight!

Knit-a-thon for fuel assistance

KNIT-A-THON MARCH 18, 2023

The Women of St Margaret’s knitters are having a KNIT-A-THON on March 18th, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. All craft venues welcome during this day of sharing, creating, enjoying food, all while raising funds for those who need assistance with fuel costs. We are all aware of the tremendous rise in costs to heat our homes, but those less fortunate need our help so that they, too, can have a warm home. During the day folks come and go, and because it is a pot luck as well, we ask that you bring a side dish of food to share (soup, chili, bread, crackers, cheese, vegetables, fruit, sweets, etc.). We have the blessing of a wonderful space to gather, the St. Margaret’s Parish Hall, so there is plenty of space to spread out. Coffee and hot water for tea will be provided. Please join us for a day of creating and giving.

English Tea a Wonderful Success

The Women (and a few men) of St. Margaret’s deserve a hearty round of applause and words of appreciation for the English Tea held last Saturday. From the Cucumber Crew to the servers, bakers, and all the workers, the event was a smashing success and a truly memorable event for all who attended and all who contributed.

More than 100 individuals enjoyed a pot of tea, cucumber sandwiches, mince tarts, ginger biscuits, lemon cake, and a warm scone with heavy cream and strawberry jam. In addition to the bake sale, the jewelry boutique, white elephant sale, and silent auction helped raise more than $2200 for programs and projects supported by the Women of St. Margaret’s.

Space prevents listing everyone who worked to make this a joyful occasion but you know who you are! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
