Vestry Highlights – August 2026

From our August Vestry meeting

  • Reflections on Taizé: Barbara shared insights and experiences from her recent time at Taizé.
  • Financial Review: Our Treasurer, Georgie, provided a comprehensive financial update, including a review of the funds on the Balance Sheet.
  • Capital Campaign Update: Chris and Chet presented the latest updates on the Capital Campaign, which included the formation of a Capital Campaign Coordinating Committee comprising Chet, Chris, Bob Sirota, Roy McAlpine, Cipperly Good, Georgie Thomas, and Priscilla Tate. The parish will receive regular updates and information regarding the campaign moving forward.
  • Doug Morrison will oversee the repair of the driveway to the parking lot.
  • It was proposed to purchase eight new church chairs for the back of church (replacing the red vinyl ones currently in place). Approved.
  • It was proposed to order and install four new windows for the sanctuary so that they are in place before winter arrives. Approved. Funds from Fidelity account.
  • Ruth shared plans for the Season of Creation with weekly events through September into early October.
  • There will be no worship service at St. Margaret’s on September 13th. A four-parish joint service will be held at Camp Bishopswood followed by a picnic lunch (more details to come).
